The haunch of the pig, and for most Americans, it is always a smoked or cured product. But it doesn't have to be. Roast it whole for a big crowd, the bone in ham is a great value and a great taste. Cut it into chunks for a stew, or slices for a pan-fried dinner. Serve it with grits and eggs for breakfast. It has as many applications as you can come up with.
